We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our small, friendly Community Speech and Language Therapy team in a community role within West Lancashire.
Our team provide communication, dysphagia and voice assessment therapy and support to adults with acquired difficulties and to their carers. Our caseload is varied including dementia, respiratory, other long-term neurological conditions, voice disorders and stroke. Patients are provided with a service in a variety of settings appropriate to their needs i.e care homes, patients home and outpatient clinics across the West Lancashire area.

You will be a suitably experienced therapist and will be able to manage a wide range of complex dysphagia and communication disorders independently. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: undertaking assessment and management of patients, manage and prioritise referrals, advise, develop, assist and educate all appropriate staff on the management and care of patients and provide specialist speech and language therapy advice to Health Care Professionals within the Trust.
You will be HCPC registered, a member of the RCSLT, have experience working at a Band 6 level within adult services and have a full driving licence to complete your role in the community. Previous experience of working within the community will be highly regarded, as will experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team.
