Eagle House School (Bramley) opened in September 2019, providing specialist therapeutic education for pupils aged 6-14 who, in addition to their high functioning ASD, present with complex SEMH needs due to experiences of early childhood adversity. Our model is integrative, incorporating psychodynamic and systemic practice, underpinned by the principles of positive behaviour support.

As one of our Curriculum Access team you will support the young people within our school to achieve their full potential. This role includes individual and group work with pupils, working across the multi-disciplinary team to overcome all barriers! We are currently seeking a Band 6/7 Speech and Language Therapist wishing to work in a school setting, to join our multi-disciplinary team of professionals, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, behaviour support specialists and assistant psychologists. You will be required to work on a full time basis (8.30am to 4.30pm, 5 days a week) plus four weeks during the school holidays. Supervision and opportunities for CPD will be provided and based on annual appraisal reviews.

Main responsibilities will involve:
 Assessment and intervention planning
 Group and individual therapy as required
 Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
 Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
 Curriculum development, report writing and record keeping
 Providing clinical supervision and support to two Band 5/6 SaLTs within the Group
 Managing the practice and professional development of SaLTs in partnership with the Headteacher
 Developing SaLT services and multi-disciplinary practice in Eagle House School Bramley
 Supporting the strategic development of whole Group and school policy
 Developing innovative new services and practices as part of our Senior Management Team

We are looking for Speech & Language Therapist who are:
 Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
 Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder, Asperger’s syndrome and Social, emotional and mental health need is desirable
 Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
 Is RCSLT and HCPC registered
 Hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
