3-19, who, due to their Autism and associated learning differences, require significant specialist
support to succeed academically and achieve their full potential.

We are at an exciting stage of our development and are now recruiting for a new multi-disciplinary
team to support our students and embed therapeutic practice within our classrooms.

Speech and Language Therapist
35 hours per week for 39 weeks per year (Term Time only)
Salary: Grade 7 £33,782 - £38,390 FTE *job evaluation pending
Actual salary based Term Time only (0.875 FTE) is £29,559 to £33,591
Working hours: 8:30am-4pm Monday to Friday 39 weeks per year
Contract: Permanent

This is an exciting role within Abbot’s Lea School, reporting to the Educational Psychologist and
sitting within the Care and Safeguarding Team.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated Speech and Language
Therapist to join our newly formed multi-disciplinary team consisting of Educational Psychologist, Psychotherapist and Occupational Therapist.

You will need to be a dedicated and innovative practitioner committed to achieving the best possible
outcomes for our students. We address the individual learning and therapeutic needs of all our
students and provide a broad and balanced curriculum.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to bring your knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and initiative
to a specialist school setting. You will have the opportunity to assess and support students on their
journey through the school and witness their growth and development first hand.

Previous experience working with students and young people with autism is essential.
