Salary Details: PO2 (£32910- fte/ (£28269 -Actual Salary)
Hours: 37 hours, term-time only +5 days Permanent contract

The East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC) is a 2-19 generic special school. The SILC is expanding and is operating from a number of school sites. There are currently 330 pupils on roll, but we are anticipating that this number will rise to 420 by September 2021. The East SILC is a complex organisation which also leads and manages the city-wide Physical Difficulties and Medical Service, the Medical Needs Teaching Service for Leeds. We are also a National Teaching School.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at the East SILC. The person appointed will be based at our John Jamieson school working across the East SILC but as with all posts may be asked to work at any site across the East SILC. Start date as soon as possible.

The post is permanent subject to a 6 month probationary period.

The successful candidate will be an organised individual, with experience of working in a dynamic and inspirational manner. They will deliver high quality school based speech and language therapy across the East SILC leading a small team; on 1:1 sessions, group work and in class support, liaising with our teaching staff, families, carers and external professionals.

The East SILC has a progressive staffing structure in place which is supported by Continual Professional Development. A thorough induction process is in place.
