Emerging-Specialist/Specialist/Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Annual Salary: UNBANDED (MKC Grade G – Grade H)
£30,451 - £39,880 FTE dependent on experience

We are looking for enthusiastic, innovative Specialist Speech and Language Therapists who want to develop their career, skills and knowledge in a specialist educational setting from Reception to 6th form. We are keen to support applicants with a range of experience and will accept applications from band 5 upwards. Our priority is to recruit professionals with an outstanding skill set and exceptional interactional skills; we are looking for individuals who can ensure our young people achieve and exceed their potential. You will work with a small but complex caseload, where intensive therapy with students is encouraged. Your working day will be diverse and involve working with class groups, smaller groups and with individual students, whilst also providing a universal level of support across the settings. You will support SL-T colleagues to develop their skills through line management of Speech and Language Therapist/s or Therapy Assistants. You will be involved in training and in the ongoing development of a needs-led model of service delivery across the federation. Our school population have severe and complex speech, and language disorders, (including Autism Spectrum Disorder) with associated learning and/or behavioural difficulties.
