We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Senior Speech & Language Therapist working 37.5 hours per week to join our dynamic in-patient team based at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary in Wigan. The team covers all medical and surgical wards including Critical Care and the acute stroke unit.

You will work alongside a Band 6 SLT and two Band 5 SLT's and be supported by the Team Lead in acute dysphagia. The ideal candidate will be dysphagia competent and should have experience of managing complex dysphagia patients. Experience of videofluoroscopy and management of patients with tracheostomies is desirable but not essential as training can be given.

The post will offer the opportunity to supervise more junior team members, be involved with student training and supervision, deliver training to the wider MDT and participate in service development.

We can offer an excellent support system, regular team meetings and good training opportunities.

The role would require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.
