The Tameside & Glossop Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team is seeking an enthusiastic, forward thinking, team player to join our friendly and supportive team of speech and language therapists.

If you have a community background of working in clinics and mainstream schools with an added interest in language disorders & DLD read on!

You will work in Hyde, coordinating a caseload of clinic and mainstream school children. This will include leading and liaising with SLT and SLTA colleagues to ensure case management lists, waiting times and discharges are managed within service standards and processes. The post holder will also be expected to take a lead on language disorders & DLD.

Your base will be at Rowan House, which also hosts the Integrated Service for Children with Additional Needs, comprising physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialist nurses and complex speech and language therapists.

You will contribute to our training schedule, providing input into training for educational staff, health staff and parents and carers and will be involved in contributing to EHCP’s.

You will be supported by your Band 6 peers and Band 7 team leaders. Regular operational supervision will be provided by a Band 7 team leader.
