This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to develop specialist Band 6 skills within a small and supportive team. We are looking for a self- motivated, friendly and enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our established Children’s Therapy Team in North Lincolnshire.

This is a newly created post designed to work more closely with Local Authority colleagues across the area in order to promote early communication skills, ensure early identification and ensure all our children in North Lincolnshire have access to high quality communication and language environments. This is an exciting opportunity to take a key role in the development of a new Early Years initiative in our area. Your job will be to provide specialised Speech and Language assessment and management of children within the Early Years arena including children with social communication difficulties. This will also include supporting the wider Early Years workforce via training, development of resources and consultation with key partners

We are a small but dynamic multi professional team comprised of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Speech and Language Therapy. The team is based in a community site in Scunthorpe.

You will also support the Team Lead in development of this new service; participate in regular audits/ research in order to evidence the effectiveness of this new service. Applicants should have experience of working with paediatrics in a generalist capacity and experience working Early Years; full supervision and training will be provided.
