Our vision is to care for our communities and patients by preventing ill-health, promoting better health, providing excellent services and reducing the need for inpatient care wherever possible through the provision of strengthened home, primary and community care.

We value the diversity of our staff and welcome applications from people from protected groups under the Equality Act 2010, this specifically includes age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/reassignment, race/nationality, religion/belief, disability, pregnancy and maternity and marriage and civil partnership.

This is an exciting opportunity for professional development and to implement service change within a supportive environment. We are looking for an innovative, enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our Community Resource Team, delivering community services to adult patients in the Bridgend Locality.

The Community Resource Team is an integrated health and social care service which provides a range of short-term interventions to promote independence by avoiding admission to hospital or long term care. It also aims to improve the ability of people who live with long term conditions to care for themselves and live independently in the community for longer.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential within this post. The successful candidate will need to plan and manage their time effectively, ensuring prioritisation and completion of both clinical and non-clinical tasks, to ensure effective workload management and the ability to respond flexibly to the needs of the service.

We are a friendly, forward thinking team and we will offer you:
- dedicated time for appropriate CPD
- active support for research, audit and evidence-based practice
- regular appraisal and clinical supervision
- professional and clinical support
- administrative support

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
