Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

A 0.8 WTE Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) is required at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) to work on the band 7 rotation, commencing initially on HASU. The other rotations are within neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, neuro-rehabilitation and neuro-critical care.

Patients will have a wide range of acute, chronic and progressive speech, language and swallowing disorders.

You will join a team of 13 SLTs which has a well-established system for formal / informal support and clinical / professional supervision. The SLT service has a very high profile within the multidisciplinary range of services provided.

The post offers exceptional opportunities to use specialist clinical skills and contribute to the research and teaching programmes within this highly specialised patient population. The Division is fully committed to research and development and actively supports and funds the continuous professional development of its staff.
