We are looking for a enthusiastic, creative and committed highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead our school age complex needs team within our Children's Therapy Services in Stockport. The complex needs team provides a service for feeding / swallowing and complex Alternative / Augmentative Communication systems across special schools / resource schools in Stockport and in to families homes.

This role has leadership and clinical responsibilities.

An ideal applicant will need to be motivated and innovative with strong leadership and communication skills as well as experience in working with children/young people with complex needs. You must be willing and able to learn new skills and be flexible with both your working days and hours. You will receive clinical support and supervision from the Children's Therapy Service Leads.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide speech, language and communication and ideally also swallowing assessments / treatment as most of the children within this caseload have both needs in dysphagia / communication. Training can be provided to become dysphagia trained.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £43.50. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
