Chiltern Wood School is developing an outstanding therapeutic provision and warmly invites speech therapists with a range of levels and experience to visit the school to find out more.

Chiltern Wood School is an expanding Special School currently supporting 215 students ranging from ages 3 to 19 years, located over two sites in Cressex and Downley. We offer the opportunity to become part of a team of caring professionals during an exciting stage in the school’s development, and contribute purposefully to meeting the special educational needs of children in the High Wycombe area. You will be well supported by welcoming and knowledgeable staff within a well-run, hard-working school which holds as its core value the wellbeing of its pupils, parents and staff.

The governing body are looking to recruit Speech and Language Therapists at band 5-7 to support with the assessment of our young people and assist with the provision of Speech and Language Therapy within a team. The successful candidate/s will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, planning and implementing therapeutic strategies to support a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. They will also have opportunities to develop skills in working with children with Dysphagia and Augmentative and Alternative Communication with appropriate support and training. Clinical supervision for the posts in the team is delivered by two highly specialist therapists, who will provide support and identify development opportunities as required.
