Therapy Network speech and language therapy service working collaboratively with 55 schools across the UK. Caseloads are diverse with students presenting with a range of SLCN. Team interests are varied with SLTs involved in research at leading universities, multimedia and charity projects.
We are recruiting a creative and dynamic SLT (NQP-Band 7) to join our vibrant mainstream primary schools service across Manchester & Liverpool.

The main role is split between two mainstream schools, but could be divided into two separate part time roles to assist flexible working patterns.

Caseload 1: Central Manchester
Hours: 7.5hrs (1 day per week)
Setting: 1 Mainstream primary school

Caseload 2: Liverpool
Hours: 15hrs per week (2 days per week)
Setting: 1 mainstream primary school

Main Responsibilities

• Management of one or two caseloads across two primary schools.
• Plan, execute and monitor communication therapy programmes for individuals and small groups of pupils with special educational needs at a specialist level, targeted and universal level.
• Contribute to learning activities and teaching programmes for pupils with special educational needs.
• Monitor, assess, record and report on the impact of speech and language therapy programmes;
• Liaise with class co-ordinators, teaching assistants, assistants, or volunteers
• The speech and language therapist will be required to ensure pupils safety.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils, acting as a good role model.
• Liaise with other professionals, parents and carers outside the school
• Write EHCP, Assessment & Summary/Update reports
• Contribute towards inset days for other staff, where applicable.
• Follow therapeutic programmes linked to local and national learning strategies, such as literacy.
• Prepare, maintain and use equipment and resources and assist pupils in their learning.
