Do you want to be part of an innovative, forward thinking speech and language therapy team within the field of acquired brain injury?

An opportunity has arisen for a highly specialist speech and language therapist to join our rehabilitation service. The successful candidate will hold a very small caseload of children with a range of needs, resulting from acquired brain injury or complex medical needs. You will work with children receiving rehabilitation and also those on a ‘step down’ package after hospital discharge

We would welcome your enthusiasm and clinical skills in supporting the further development of our clinical and evidence based practice for the benefit of the children and young people and families we work with, as well as exploring new service models and building links throughout the UK

The service offers generous CPD internal and external support and range of opportunities to be involved in research, service evaluation and audit in collaboration with our Research Team.

The Children’s Trust is commissioned to provide specialist rehabilitation and step down-care for children and young people staying in four rehabilitation houses, with therapy provided within our rehabilitation centre. Our neuro-rehabilitation offer includes Botox Clinics and our successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the upper limb assessments as part of this clinic.

If you are looking to refine your skills through intensive work with a small caseload, supported by experienced staff, please get in touch.

Boasting a beautiful 24-acre site in Surrey, we are located just outside of London, close to the M25 (accessible via Junction 8, A217 to Tadworth) and easily accessible via National Rail, by way of: Clapham Junction, Sutton and Epsom.

The work we do is highly rewarding, and in addition to an attractive salary, we offer a valuable range of benefits, including: free on-site parking; subsidised cafeteria; on-site staff accommodation (subject to availability); the ability to retain your NHS pension (where applicable) or the opportunity to join an alternative scheme; and the opportunity to develop and implement your expertise in an environment that is as unusual in its beautiful historic nature, as it is unique in its state-of-the-art facilities.

If you would like to discuss the role please contact the Recruitment Team, on 01737 365 880 or email: recruitment@thechildrenstrust.org.uk. Additionally, if you would like an informal tour of our wonderful grounds, we would be happy to accommodate this.
