As the Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy (Clinical) you will primarily be engaged with teaching and assessment on undergraduate modules related to speech and language therapy. You will undertake a full teaching and assessment load and develop some of your own teaching materials and methods. You will be involved in clinical viva assessments, dissertation supervision and assessment marking. You will be expected to utilise innovative approaches to teaching to enhance the student learning experience. You will contribute to personal tutoring and the planning and development of modules and the programme. You will be supported to take on aspects of programme management such as module leadership.

Ideal Candidate
You should be a qualified speech and language therapist with a relevant postgraduate level of study and/or equivalent clinical experience. You should have specialist experience working with elderly people and specifically dementia. You will also have specialist knowledge in adult dysphagia and be able to design, and deliver teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will also be able to teach across a range of clinical and professional areas relevant to your specialism, your broader clinical experiences and training.
You will value clinical practice and have a desire to inform the speech and language therapy curriculum. You will have worked with speech and language therapy students and be keen now to develop your skills in an academic context.
You will be a team player and enjoy working with a range of colleagues.
