Pield Heath House School is a non-maintained day/residential school for children and young people aged
7-19 with severe learning difficulties, complex needs and associated speech and language disorders.

Specialist Speech & Language Therapist – Band 7
Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm, 40 hours per week, 42 weeks per year
Hours to be mainly worked during the school term however some holiday working will be required
Salary Scale: Band 7 NJC Scale Points 29 – 39: £33,985 – £43,641 per annum dependent on experience

We are looking for an experienced, well qualified and dynamic Specialist Speech & Language Therapist who has the ability to support the future development of our provision for children and young people with a range of complex learning needs, including those with moderate to severe learning difficulties and/or disabilities, autistic spectrum (ASD) and those with associated speech language and communication difficulties as well as behavioural difficulties.

The school employs Speech and Language Therapists who the post holder will lead and manage. This post provides the successful applicant with an opportunity to lead a department within a friendly, enthusiastic and skilled school whilst developing the service that supports the needs of our students..
The post would suit an energetic and creative professional who is looking to make a difference to the lives of young people with complex needs as well as furthering their own professional development.
The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner, providing highly specialist assessment, prognosis and a variety of therapy and intervention programmes. You will be required to provide advice and training to others to enable them to support the development of children’s speech language and communication skills.
