Mary Hare School is a specialist school for deaf children and young people in Newbury, Berkshire. We are seeking to appoint a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join our well-established team on a full time, fixed term contract starting 27th August 2019. This post is also open to NQT’s with a keen interest in deafness.

The post:

•Full time, Term time only (37 weeks per year), 37 hours per week, worked over 4 days to include evening work up to 18:20pm.
•Fixed term contract from 27th August 2019 to 3rd July 2020.
•Working in a multidisciplinary team with Teachers of the Deaf, Audiologists, Teaching Assistants and a team of experienced Speech and Language Therapists.
•A varied caseload comprising of secondary and post 16 pupils.
•Opportunities for individual and group therapy as well as working within the classroom setting.
•CPD opportunities such as attending a regular CEN and other relevant training courses.
•Opportunities to deliver training workshops to Teachers of the Deaf, specialist teaching assistants and parents.
