Beaumont College offers both residential and non-residential programmes for young people with disabilities, all of whom are between the ages of 19-25 years. Situated just outside the vibrant city of Lancaster, our last Ofsted rating (May 2016) was Good, with Outstanding in Personal development, behaviour and welfare. We hold the Silver Investors in People status.

Utilising our personalised learning programmes which are designed to meet each student’s individual needs we enable students to take responsibility for their own lives and encourage participation in exciting activities.

We are seeking an experienced therapist to join the Communication department as part of a multi-disciplinary team in this progressive college.

You will manage a specialist caseload of students with complex learning, physical, emotional and sensory needs and/or challenging behaviour, including students with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. There will be an expectation that some travel to our satellite campuses will be required.

You will also contribute to the integration of appropriate communication strategies within all curriculum pathways and within the residential provision to students. Flexibility, humour and a willingness to go the extra mile are essential for all our staff to ensure we maintain high standards of support for our students.
Demonstrating evidence of successful completion of the NQP Framework and experience of managing a caseload independently you will be registered with Healthcare Professionals Council.

In return, we offer excellent support from colleagues and staff, clinical supervision, commitment to CPD and access to internal and external training.
