Location: South East England (Canterbury, Kent)

Would you like to work in an exciting, stimulating and supportive environment creating packages that make a real difference to children with SLCN and their families?

We have an opportunity for a therapist to join our expanding SLT team. With at least 2 years’ post qualification experience in schools, you will be a keen and committed therapist looking for a new challenge. Comfortable delivering training and happy to travel if needed, you will be open to alternative, technology-based solutions for supporting schools.

Salary Band 6/Band 7 equivalent, 34,000 to 36,000 depending on experience. We will consider both full time and part time.

The Role Will Include:
• Working on research and support package development
• Designing and delivering training to our users
• Writing for ‘The Link’ magazine
• Supporting our Help Desk to answer therapy related questions

About You: The ideal candidate will be creative and open to working in innovative ways to support schools. You will be comfortable with technology and enjoy developing and delivering training. You will have an interest in research and be well informed as to current practices within education and Speech and Language Therapy. You will be able to think ‘outside the box’ and will enjoy working with a range of media and technology professionals alongside teachers, teaching assistants and speech and language therapists.

Essential Skills & Experience:
• RCSLT recognised degree/diploma
• Registered current membership of RCSLT
• HCPC Membership
• At least 2 years of post-qualification experience working with children in mainstream schools
• Flexibility in thinking to allow for working in different ways to the traditional approaches to service delivery
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and IT skills
• Enhanced DBS is required

Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Comfortable with digital and social media platforms
• Full UK driving licence
• Good team building and people skills
• Should be familiar with PowerPoint and Excel packages
• A basic knowledge of Speech Link and Language Link packages
