Based in Bromley, Kent, Baston House School is within easy reach of Croydon, Sidcup, Forest Hill and surrounding towns.

Job Summary and Duties
This is a great opportunity for a new or recently qualified Speech and Language Therapist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with professional supervision from a senior practitioner, gaining specialist experience working with ASC and learning difficulties in a day school setting.

You will provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy to children with autism and learning difficulties, working collaboratively with staff to promote their well-being and best interests. You will also be involved in the development of diverse, effective and innovative approaches to support and develop the functional communication skills.

Offered on a permanent, full time basis working 37.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) this role would suit a recently qualified Speech and Language Therapist, with some work experience of ASD in a childcare setting.

Key Skills Required
As a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, the following criteria is essential:
• Recognised and relevant Speech & Language Therapy degree with HCPC registration
• Experience of working with children and/or ASD, although not essential
• Knowledge of a range of assessment tools and evidence of skilled application
• Knowledge of sensory differences
• Good communication including relationship, analytical and judgement skill
