Speech and Language Therapist

Salary range £21,797 - £38,057pa (full time equivalent)

We are seeking a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding multi-disciplinary Therapies Team. Speech and Language Therapy is a fully integrated part of the whole curriculum. At St Joseph’s, we deliver a pioneering embedded therapies approach in which our therapy team work in the classroom alongside our education staff. This enables both teams to plan together and share best practice for the benefit of our students. It creates a unique working environment and the opportunity to gain invaluable therapy experience

Opportunities for specialist training and up-dating are regularly available. You will be HCPC registered and belong to the RCSLT.

St Joseph’s is a specialist, non-maintained School & registered Children’s home located midway between Horsham and Guildford. We provide day and residential places for students (5-19) whose special educational needs may include autistic spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, communication disorders, ADHD and challenging behaviour.

The salary range for this role is based on full time: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. In practice, therapist hours are compressed into term time only working (plus 5 In-service training days each academic year). We are open to applicants looking for part time and/or flexible working.

The full time salary is inclusive of 33 days paid holiday including statutory public holidays. The salary and holidays will be pro-rata for any applicants wishing to work part time.

Positions to commence as soon as possible after interview. Own transport desirable due to rural location of School.
