Salary : £20,979 pa plus location allowance (9 weeks holiday to be taken in school holidays)

Who we are looking for
If you are enthusiastic, passionate about improving the lives of people with autism, and have excellent communication skills, this could be the job for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly, forward-thinking team. The successful applicant will manage a small, defined caseload and be well supported by our Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.

The role will include assessing pupils, providing individual and group therapy, developing a communication supportive environment, and providing support and training to parents and staff within the school and residential settings. Applicants should be interested in developing training skills, be committed to a family-centred approach, and be excited by innovative practice and new technology.

Where you will be working
Radlett Lodge School is a warm and welcoming school, situated in Radlett, Hertfordshire. Radlett is 30 minutes by train to Kings Cross London. The school offers specialist provision for children and young people aged 4 – 19 years, with autism and other associated needs. We provide day placements for 43 and residential accommodation for 12. We also offer flexi-boarding to pupils attending the school. The school and residential settings have both been judged to be ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

The post holder will mainly work in the school, and occasionally within the residential and short breaks settings, to support the communication development our pupils. You will be based in our new multi-disciplinary team office, alongside our experienced Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologist, Behaviour Coordinators and Speech & Language Therapy Assistant.
