Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust have an exciting permanent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our acute mental health service based at St Michael’s Hospital Warwick.

The successful candidate will have a post graduate qualification in Dysphagia and several years’ experience working with both complex communication and Dysphagia needs. Experience of working with adults with mental health difficulties is desirable.

The applicant will be required to work autonomously and independently to deliver and develop Speech and Language Therapy across our dementia and functional mental ill health acute service pathways. The successful candidate will need to have the skills to maintain and develop this specialist service, and be able to independently assess, diagnose, provide treatment for adults with an acute mental illness who have complex communication or dysphagia needs.

The applicant will need to be able to provide clinical expertise and effective multidisciplinary working across a number of teams and sites.

There are three main acute sites located in Coventry, Warwick and Nuneaton. Due to the wide geographical area that the post covers, it is essential that the successful applicant is able to drive and have their own transport.
