Full time, term time only

Example working pattern - 4 days 8am – 5pm and 1 day 8am – 4pm

Based in Ullenwood, Gloucestershire

National Star College “an outstanding college” (Ofsted 2012), based near Cheltenham is a leading residential specialist college committed to providing high quality learning and therapeutic support to young adults with physical disabilities and /or learning difficulties.

Due to continuing growth and development, the Speech and Language Therapy department at this ‘Outstanding specialist college’ are looking to recruit Speech and Language therapist to join our experienced team. As part of this diverse and interesting role you will work in our fantastic environment that is very well resourced to support the delivery of high quality therapy. This role will include

MDT work with our OT, Physiotherapy, Education, Nursing and Residential teams. You will have an interest in working with people with learning difficulty; PMLD; ASD; Physical disability or Acquired Brain Injury and experience of providing direct and indirect therapeutic support in a range of settings. A knowledge of AAC, Makaton and/or Intensive Interaction is highly desirable.

The role is based at the main college site at Ullenwood, Cheltenham and may include work at our satellite provisions or off site residential provision in Gloucester and Cheltenham. The National Star College provides excellent CPD opportunities.
