FTE £30,217 – £33,382

44 hours per week, 39 weeks• Term time only • Part time hours will be considered

Example working pattern - 4 days 8am – 5pm and 1 day 8am – 4pm

Based near Ullenwood, Gloucestershire

National Star College “an outstanding college” (Ofsted 2012), based near Cheltenham is a leading residential specialist college committed to providing high quality learning and therapeutic support to young adults with physical disabilities and /or learning difficulties.

Due to continuing growth and development, the Speech and Language Therapy department at this ‘Outstanding specialist college’ are looking to recruit a Highly Specialist AAC Speech and Language Therapist to join our experienced team. As part of this diverse and interesting role you will work in our fantastic environment that is very well resourced to support the delivery of high quality therapy. This role will include MDT work with our OT, Physiotherapy, Education, Nursing and Residential teams.

You will have a relevant clinical experience in relation to AAC management, including assessment and intervention for clients with complex communication difficulties. You will have the skills to support the development of college policies and procedures in relation to Dysphagia management.

The role is based at the main college site at Ullenwood, Cheltenham and may include work at our off site residential provision in Gloucester and Cheltenham.
