Portland College is one of the UK’s leading specialist colleges for people with disabilities. We are the only college to hold Advanced Accreditation from the National Autistic Society and we operate an exciting range of programmes, including multiple award-winning provision, for all ages. Our vision is a lifetime of opportunity for people with disabilities.

Communication is essential in enabling learners to access college life and ensure their full participation and inclusion in all environments. Working as part of a wider education and multi-disciplinary teams you will have the chance to engage in sustained clinical work with individuals, building strong therapeutic interventions over the longer term.

Clinical specialisms include autism and communication, learning disabilities and AAC. The team also leads in the training and development of staff, families and carers as we seek to promote symbol and sign rich learning environments and effective communication strategies.

You will undertake specialist assessments for prospective learners and beneficiaries and assess clinical needs that may arise for individuals on-programme and deliver clinical sessions and maintain appropriate records, ensuring RCSLT and HCPC standards regulations and guidelines are met.

We have a comprehensive package of benefits including up to 30 days holiday + statutory days, full support with CPD, free life assurance, employers’ matched pension scheme and free car parking on site.
