Mary Hare School for the deaf is a specialist school for the deaf in Newbury, Berkshire. We are looking to recruit for a number of positions within the speech and language therapy department to join our well-established team.

• Working in a multi-disciplinary team with Teachers of the Deaf, Audiologists, Teaching Assistants and a team of experienced Speech and Language Therapists.
• A varied case-load comprising of primary, secondary and post 16 pupils.
• CPD opportunities such as attending a regular CEN and other relevant training courses.
• Opportunities for individual and group therapy as well as working within the classroom setting.
• Opportunities to deliver training workshops to Teachers of the Deaf, specialist teaching assistants and parents.

We are looking to appoint for the following positions:

Speech and Language Therapist (Hearing Impairment)

Band 5 Point 2 £24,907 per annum, pro rata
37 hours per week, worked over four days to include evening work up to 6:20pm
Fixed term, one year

Speech and Language Therapist (Hearing Impairment)
Band 5 Point 2 £24,907 per annum, pro rata
37 hours per week, worked over four days to include evening work up to 6:20pm
Permanent

Speech and Language Therapist (Hearing Impairment) Permanent
Band 5 Point 7 £30,615 per annum, pro rata
37 hours per week, worked over four days to include evening work up to 6:20pm

The applicant must have experience of working with a varied case-load and should ideally have good demonstrable experience.

Speech and Language Therapist (Hearing Impairment)
Band 6 - pay point depends on experience, pro rata
18 hours per week, ideally worked across three days, however this can be negotiated
