York House is a 28 bed (and expanding) independent mental health hospital for adults with acquired brain injury and challenging behaviour.

Our emphasis is on a social model of rehabilitation to maximise service users’ independence. Assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders forms an integral part of this role.

You will ideally have been qualifi ed for at least two years, preferably with neurological experience. You will have post graduate dysphagia training and hold HPC registration.We provide a comprehensive induction programme, initial, and on-going training and development opportunities. You will have access to regular clinical supervision, nation-wide BIRT SLT meetings and work in partnership with another on site SLT.
